Our Farming Practice
Our farming practice is diverse with an emphasis on sustainability, protecting our natural resources, and staying economically viable. We embrace innovation and hard work because excellent farming requires both.

We are proud to be certified sustainable. Some of our sustainable farming practices include:
- No-tillage farming (we do not disc or chisel as this disrupts the intricate mycelium network and organic soil matter).
- Perennial native cover crops (native prairie grasses add nutrients, cool vineyard floor temperatures, and prevent soil erosion).
- Owl/Raptor boxes - provide vertebrate control for vineyard pests.
- Drip irrigation - significantly reduces water use and helps protect this valuable resource.
- FloriPulse, pressure chamber testing and soil moisture probes are all various methods which allow us to consistently monitor soil moisture availability and plant stress to ensure proper timing and volume of irrigation, keeping our vines healthy.
- We control weeds by mowing and avoid use of herbicides to produce a quality wine grape and keep our vineyards thriving!
